1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Blackbird Detailing ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") concerning your access to and use of our website (blackbirddetailing.com) and our automotive detailing services.
By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access the website or use our services.
2. Services
Blackbird Detailing is a mobile-only detailing operation. We offer recurring membership services alongside initial and standalone services, including:
- Signature (monthly) and Elite (bi-weekly) recurring memberships
- Required initial services at Signature, Elite, and Premium tiers
- Ceramic coating application (1-year, 3-year, and multi-year)
- Paint enhancement and light paint correction
- Window tint (scheduled through membership or dedicated appointment)
- Paint protection film, coordinated through our vetted installer network
- Member and retail add-ons for interior and exterior treatments
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service, package, or membership tier at our discretion. Founding-member pricing is honored for the life of an active membership.
3. Service Area
Our mobile services are available in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, and surrounding areas in Virginia. Service availability may vary based on location, scheduling, and other factors. We reserve the right to decline service requests outside our primary service area or when scheduling conflicts arise.
4. Booking and Appointments
Estimates and Quotes
Estimates provided through our online form or initial consultation are approximate and may be subject to change based on actual vehicle condition, additional services requested, or unforeseen circumstances discovered during service.
Scheduling
Appointments must be scheduled in advance and are subject to availability. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your preferred date and time.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
Cancellation and no-show fees are applied based on the notice we receive before the scheduled appointment window:
- 48+ hours notice: no fee
- 24 to 48 hours notice: $99 fee
- Under 24 hours notice: $199 fee
- No-show: up to the full service charge
Active members are entitled to one rescheduling credit per billing cycle with 48+ hours notice. One no-show or late cancellation per year may be waived at our discretion. We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to weather, equipment issues, or other unforeseen circumstances without penalty.
5. Memberships
Required Initial Service
Every new Signature or Elite membership requires an initial service before recurring visits begin. The initial service brings the vehicle to the maintenance standard that recurring visits are designed to hold. An initial service may be waived at our discretion for brand-new vehicles or vehicles already in exceptional condition.
Recurring Billing
Memberships are billed monthly at the flat rate associated with your tier and automatically charged to the payment method on file. Founding-member pricing is locked in for the life of an uninterrupted membership. Unused visits do not roll over into the following billing cycle.
Minimum Term and Cancellation
Memberships carry a 3-month minimum term. After the minimum term, you may cancel at any time with 30 days written notice sent to the email or phone number on file. Cancellations during the minimum term require payment of the remaining monthly rates or the balance of the initial service, whichever is lower.
Additional Vehicles and On-Demand Visits
Adding a second vehicle to an active membership is billed at the tier's additional-vehicle rate. Members may also book on-demand visits between scheduled appointments at the member rate associated with their tier.
6. Payment Terms
Pricing
All prices are in U.S. Dollars (USD) and are subject to change without notice. Final pricing will be confirmed before service begins.
Payment Methods
We accept various payment methods including credit cards, debit cards, and other electronic payment methods. Payment is due upon completion of service unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
Deposits
Certain services may require a deposit to secure your appointment. Deposit amounts and refund policies will be communicated at the time of booking.
7. Client Responsibilities
As a client, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your vehicle's condition
- Ensure the vehicle is accessible at the scheduled time and location
- Provide access to water and electricity if required for mobile services
- Remove all personal belongings from the vehicle before service
- Inform us of any pre-existing damage, modifications, or special conditions
- Ensure a safe working environment for our technicians
- Comply with all payment terms
8. Warranties and Guarantees
Service Quality
We take pride in delivering exceptional results. If you are not satisfied with our service, please notify us within 7 days of service completion, and we will work to address your concerns.
Product Warranties
Ceramic coatings and other protective products may come with manufacturer warranties. Terms and conditions of these warranties will be provided separately and are subject to proper vehicle maintenance and care.
Warranty Exclusions
Warranties do not cover:
- Damage caused by accidents, negligence, or misuse
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage from improper maintenance or car washes
- Pre-existing damage not disclosed prior to service
- Environmental factors (bird droppings, tree sap, acid rain, etc.)
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for pre-existing damage, wear, or defects not disclosed prior to service
- We are not responsible for failure of aftermarket parts, modifications, or accessories
- Our liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
- We maintain appropriate insurance coverage for our operations
By using our services, you acknowledge that automotive detailing involves some inherent risks, particularly with vehicles that have pre-existing paint damage, clear coat failure, or other compromised conditions.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Blackbird Detailing or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without explicit written permission.
11. Photography and Marketing
We may photograph or video your vehicle before, during, and after service for quality control, training, and marketing purposes. By using our services, you grant us permission to use these images on our website, social media, and marketing materials.
If you do not wish for your vehicle to be photographed or used in marketing materials, please inform us in writing before service begins.
12. Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Blackbird Detailing, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your use of our services.
14. Dispute Resolution

If you have a concern or dispute, please contact us first, and we will attempt to resolve the issue informally.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Venue
Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
16. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.
We encourage you to review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any updates.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other written agreement between you and Blackbird Detailing, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of our services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
